You can scan documents from ImageCapture, or you can even directly scan from Apple Preview (Preview-> File -> Import from ). Epson sw works very well (I have an ET-2500 and is still a charm om M1 MacMini w/Big Sur), regardless the releasing date which I do agree is a bit strange even if a developer can work on betas as final driver should be released only when the final version of an OS is released (BTW, they already list the next version of Mac OS on theyr support site. ImageCapture, as someone in this discussion mentioned, is a very serviceable app that Apple provides as part of the standard system install (no need to download it, as they said). I'm not sure that will help, and I'm not sure why my earlier plain vanilla attempts did not work, but you might try it. Click the start button, and select All Programs or Programs > EPSON > Epson Scan. The EPSON Scan standby window appears: If the Mode setting in the upper right corner of the window is set to Full Auto Mode, click the Scan button. Mac OS X: Open the Applications folder and click the EPSON Scan icon. Or select Start > All Programs or Programs > EPSON Scan > EPSON Scan. Enter the application name in the search charm, and then select the displayed icon. Windows: Double-click the EPSON Scan icon on your desktop. Unlike the barebones installers for the drivers, the Epson installer for the combo prompted me through the whole install, including connecting to the scanner and making a test scan. Click the start button, and then select All Apps > EPSON > Epson Scan 2 > Epson Scan 2. This model is compatible with the Epson Smart Panel app, which allows you to perform printer or scanner operations easily from iOS and Android devices. With the e200 connected by USB to my computer and powered on, I did the complete install. I resorted to download the whole utilities and drivers combo installer. But that didn't work I didn't get the Mac Studio to recognize the scanner, though it was plugged in and available during the installs. I don't like ScanSmart from Epson, so I thought I would just download the drivers from the Epson site and then I could use Apple's ImageCapture or Preview to scan. I have a new computer and am just getting around to installing my old Epson e200. I'm running Ventura 13.1 (you can upgrade from System Settings if you're running an earlier version).
